YOU ARE NOT HERE TO FILL SPACE – Abayomi Oyelami

‘You are more than just matter’, ‘you are here to make impact’ were some of the charge of Mr. Abayomi Oyelami, the Editor of Trek Africa Newspaper to the viewing public when he graced the TV screen.
This took place last week when he visited the studios of youth-focused television channel, Rave TV in Ilupeju, Lagos to feature in the entertaining and interactive breakfast show, Morning Rave hosted by vibrant personalities including TREK Africa’s award winner Louisa Olaniyi.
He was engaged by Dapo Adegboye in the book review segment of the programme where they discussed the subject of purpose which formed the central theme of the book ‘Finding Purpose for Kids’ authored by Mr. Oyelami.
The book review was so educating and enlightening as our editor shared insights about the subject matter of the book, why he wrote it and targeted the juvenile audience. He also urged the government to give education its proper position of importance and introduce forward-looking policies into the school system.
Portions of the book were read during the course of the programme to the vast viewing audience spread across the world watching live through the station’s various platforms.
