The man loved by his people, so is Emmanuel Olanrewaju Bamgboye, the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area. A community noted for notoriety, Hon. Bamgboye has doused tension and restored peace in Mushin with his calm temper and disposition. He has being able to do this by taking restive youths off the street into positive and productive ventures.

It should be noted that under his leadership, Mushin recorded the largest number of votes for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the presidential elections for President MuhammaduBuhari and second best after Alimosho LGA in the governorship elections that produced Mr.BabajideOlusolaSanwo-olu as the governor-elect.

He spoke with Trek Africa Newspapers recently where he was honoured for supporting humanitarian gestures.

TREK Africa: Can we meet you?

Hon. Bamgboye: My name is Hon. Emmanuel OlanrewajuBamgboye, the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area.

Trek Africa: What is your take on the reception done in honour of your legislator?

Hon. Bamgboye: We thank God for him for winning the election. We also appreciate the people because it is the people’s choice that has got him re-elected.

Trek Africa: As the landlord of this area, what can you say is responsible for the great political success of Mushin in the just-concluded elections?

Hon. Bamgboye: To whom much is given much is expected. We have done much in just two years of assuming position in the local government. In terms of road construction, we have done 11 roads, we have also provided GCE and JAMB forms for students with free coaching to make them succeed. We were able to give swift response when we heard about the outbreak of monkey pox in some parts of the country.

Trek Africa: What is your expectation for your new legislator in this second term?

Hon. Bamgboye: I wish that he continue the good work he has been doing. He should ensure he continues to fulfil the expectation of the people that has voted for him.

Trek Africa: You were inducted into Rotary Club Mushin Golden today, how do you feel?

Hon. Bamgboye: Rotary Club is entrenched on service and if governance is built on service it is apt for us to work hand-in-hand. So it is a club which I cherish because apart from serving in government, you can also serve outside of government and that is why I joined. Many clubs have invited me but this one is exceptional. I want them to feel my impact, too.
