“We Stand Solidly Behind President Tinubu” – Obi Cubana

Nigerian businessman and socialite, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has once again declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Obi Cubana made the declaration through the newly formed City Boy Movement, a youth-focused initiative aimed at educating and empowering communities for national development.
The billionaire businessman, while speaking during a recent meeting with Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, explained that the movement is not a political party but a platform established to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He said: “The unique thing about this movement is that it’s made up of young people, mostly businessmen, not politicians. Our goal is the betterment of our neighbours. Our people lack knowledge, and our work is largely to educate, give orientation and reorient them so they can understand our collective path forward.”
He added: “We, as young professionals and successful businessmen, have come out to tell our people that we are solidly behind Mr President and his re-election bid. Any Igbo person must be connected to the centre. We cannot always engage in divisive politics.”
According to him, national unity and regional inclusion remain essential for development.
“There must be balance and recognition of every region because there is a lot to be done here. We have to be connected to gas and rail infrastructure,” he said.
Obi Cubana further stressed that continued opposition to the current administration could isolate the region from national opportunities.
“If we are all in opposition to this government, eventually we won’t be remembered. We stand on Bola Tinubu’s mandate,” he said.
He maintained that the City Boy Movement is focused on the progress of Igbo land and civic awareness among the people.
“The City Boy Movement is about the progress of Igbo land. Our people lack knowledge, and it is my responsibility to educate them. We stand solidly behind Tinubu,” he added.
