Yoruba Assembly, a socio-cultural group, has asked President Bola Tinubu to expedite action on the planned creation of state police amid the rising insecurity in the country.
Talks on state police formed the crux of the one-day summit organised by the Yoruba Assembly in Lagos on Tuesday.
The group is a coalition of multiple socio-cultural groups in the south-west geopolitical zone, including the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Agbekoya.
