WALE RAJI ANOMO SWORN-IN AS CHAIRMAN, VOWS ‘A PROSPEROUS IKOSI-EJINRIN’

The newly-elected Chairmen of the 57 LGA/LCDAs in Lagos have yesterday been sworn into office by the Executive Governor of Lagos state, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu alongside their counterparts who are getting a re-election. The chairmen had earlier in the day received their certificates of return from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) before the swearing-in ceremony proper in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking with Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper, the new Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo noted: ‘My people are expecting a lot in terms of dividends of democracy. We have our blueprint for the economic prosperity of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.’

‘We will do fantastic in the area of the education. We will introduce free school buses that will take our children to school in the morning and bring them back in the afternoon. We will be kitting them with school uniform. This will make us patronize artisans in the community which has its economic implications. We will give them writing materials and instructional materials.
We will go round the district to have an on-the-spot assessment tour to see the state of our classrooms. We have 18 primary schools. We will give them more classrooms to make learning conducive.’

He added: ‘On health, we will set up Ikosi-Ejinrin health team that will go round to take good care of our senior citizens and we will give them stipends to take care of themselves. They have served us meritoriously and now they are old, we need to take good care of them.’
‘In the area of security, we have our local security architecture called the Balule. We will rebrand them and equip them. We will do that in collaboration with Nigeria Police. We will also equip the Police with operational vehicles and gadgets.’
The new council boss then thanked his people for the support, ‘I thank the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for their support. It is unprecedented that they trooped out to vote for us. They should look out for a prosperous Ikosi-Ejinrin’.
