The Senator representing the Lagos Central senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Oluremi Shade Tinubu, OON has hinted that she didn’t want to run for third term as Senator but for the intervention of elder statesman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi. Trek Africa Newspaper can report that she made this known at her stewardship report presentation on Sunday at Eko hotel, Lagos.

Kneeling down to show her immense gratitude to the 86-year old member of the APC Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON said: ‘Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi has been a father and mentor to me. Even at 86, you are still waxing stronger. I thank you. For 12 years in the Senate, I am done, I will miss the people. Even the 3rd term, I didn’t want to go but I had to listen to my leader, Baba Olusi. He is a man of few words but he spoke to me for 2 hours because I told him I wanted to go and do church business.’

‘I want to begin to minister to young ladies because I see a lot of things around and I am not pleased. At 62, I see our young ladies not patient with their husbands and it is not about the moment, it is about the journey, it is about the journey of destiny that you take together. In a journey, sometimes you will run, sometimes you will walk, sometimes you have to fight life itself because of life problems’, she told Trek Africa Newspaper.

‘I want to go out to tell young ladies that marriage requires love. Love is good but respect is key. That’s what I owe this generation’, Sen. Tinubu concluded.
