SEN. OLUREMI TINUBU DELIGHTED ABOUT VOTER TURNOUT IN LAGOS

The wife of the President-elect, Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON has expressed delight with the improved turnout during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Lagos state yesterday. She said it was good that Nigerians came out enmasse to perform their civic duty despite the wrong perception by some people during first leg of elections on 25th February 2023.

Trek Africa Newspaper gathered that Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu cast her vote at unit 034 near Police Barracks, Falomo in Ikoyi, Lagos. She added that the nations democracy had grown beyond tribe, religion and any other sentiment.

According to her, the current democratic experience is now transcending to Nigerians voting for Nigerians. She believes the people have learnt the much needed lessons from the outcome of the February 25th Presidential and National Assembly polls.

 

Senator Oluremi Tinubu said the way forward is for Nigerians to learn how to live together as one irrespective of where one comes from.

On the concern raised in the use of BVAS during the February 25th poll, Oluremi Tinubu said that the country is yet to get it right in terms of the use of technology. She noted that the country will witness enormous progress in the electoral process when electricity supply is stable.

The wife of the President-elect told Trek Africa Newspaper that her desire is to leave an examplary legacy for the nation.
