The beleaguered Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha, has asserted that the political structure of Minister Nyesom Wike is indestructible. He also suggested that the current Governor of Rivers State, Siminialayi Fubara, is causing problems for himself.

Okocha revealed that strategies are already being developed to undermine Fubara ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Rivers State. Reports indicate that the ongoing rift between Wike and Fubara continues despite attempts at mediation from President Bola Tinubu and other prominent political figures.

While Wike has expressed a willingness to resolve the conflict peacefully, he insists that Fubara must adhere to the rule of law.

In an interview with journalists in Abuja, Okocha stated, “Wike made it possible for Fubara to become governor. Fubara was never a politician. He is creating issues for himself. Our focus is to undermine him and his party to secure victory in 2027.

“I can confidently say that for the next decade, I don’t foresee any politician dismantling Wike’s political structure in Rivers State. While I’m not God, I’m speaking about what is achievable within human limits. Wike’s structure cannot be destroyed—not anytime soon.
