‘PROTECT LEGAL AGRO-BUSINESSES IN LAGOS’ – ALFADARAI TASKS AGRO-RANGERS UNIT • meets investors, cooperatives, associations in agricultural sector

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai has asserted that it was imperative to ensure the adequate protection and safety of the Agro – Allied investments of the government both on land and sea. The Lagos State Commandant also noted that the above effort will increase food security, eliminate agricultural deficiency, nab illegal fishermen, curb insecurity, stabilize local communities, stop nefarious criminal activities and eradicate possible communal clashes.
The press release by DSC Abolurin Oluwaseun granted National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP informed that Alfadarai made this known during his meeting with the Lagos State Crayfish Fishing Co-operative Agricultural Multipurpose Society Limited and other agro-investment associations today Thursday, 8th June, 2023 at the Lagos State Command headquarters in Ikeja. He further assured the good people of the state of his commitment to deploy tactical personnel to end untoward insecurity, within the agricultural sector, illegal fishing and criminal activities at sea in the state.
The Lagos State Commandant of the Corps also seized the occasion to charge the Agro-Rangers Unit of the Command, on collaborations with relevant associations and cooperatives in the sector. NAOSNP gathered that this will aid their function in doing well to protect genuine and legal agro businesses and secure agro-investments in the state, through regular stakeholders’ meeting, sensitizations and seminars et ce tera.
In their respective responses, the aforementioned Associations promised to collaborate with the Corps in the area of intelligence and information gathering, which will avail the command, to perform optimally by nabbing all identified and suspected criminal elements in the sector.
