PAM raises N120m to transform Ijesa land as food basket of Africa

To transform Africa into food basket of the world, an international Non-Governmental Initiative, Project Africa Movement, PAM, through it’s various projects, has concluded plans to establish a massive agricultural projects in Ijesaland valued as N120m.

In a statement, the organisation’s President Mr. Ayodeji Ogunjobi said, Osun State Nigeria is about to usher in an Open Learning Center that would include a massive agricualture project.

According to the statement: ‘’The Learning Centre proposes to establish many projects in Africa, the highest in priority of which are farm settlements in Ijesaland. The aim of this farm settlements is to make Ijesaland the food basket of Africa.

“Similar farm settlements are targeted to be established in six other satellite campuses of the proposed Learning Centre in six other Geopolitical Regions of Africa two of which are Zimbabwe and Uganda.

“Our vision is that all the seven farm settlements will serve as the food basket of the whole world. The Farm products to be embraced in Ijesaland include Palm Trees, Cocoa, Cassava, Plantain, Tomatoes, maize among others. Animal Husbandry to be included are Poultry, rabitry, piggery, cattle ranching, snailery and fish farming. The size of land required is five to 10 acres to start with. “We have already identified 49 acre piece of landed property to cost us N120 Million the deadline for payment for which is Thursday 28th of October 2021.

‘’ Actualization of this vision which is supposed to be the beginning of a Welfarist Society in Africa for the benefit of Humanity irrespective of colour, creed, race and religion requires the financial support of well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies both in Africa and the Diaspora who have been blessed by the CREATOR.
