It is with profound sadness that the Oyo State Police Command mourns the passing of Deputy Commissioner of Police Akinade Adejobi, who departed this world in the late hours of Saturday, April 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness.

DCP Adejobi was a dedicated law enforcement officer whose unwavering commitment to duty and service set a standard for all. Throughout his distinguished career, he demonstrated exemplary leadership, fostering collaboration and integrity within the Oyo State Police Command. His innovative strategies and focus on community-oriented policing strengthened the trust and bond between the Police Force and the communities they served, ensuring a safer environment for all.

Beyond his professional achievements, DCP Adejobi was a person of great warmth and compassion.
