The Abowa of Agbowa-Ikosi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Barr.) Saheed Owolabi Momson, has hailed the outgoing Divisional Police Officer, CSP Enofe Eucharia Chinasa (Mrs.), for her sterling leadership and peace-building efforts in the Agbowa community.

This medium reports that speaking at the colorful retirement ceremony held at the Police Divisional Headquarters, Oba Momson extolled the virtues of CSP Eucharia, describing her as “a woman working like a man” whose commitment and firm stand against crime contributed immensely to the community’s security.

“You have served this nation dutifully and left behind a legacy of peace, justice, and people-centered policing,” he said. “Your leadership has positively impacted our land. You were not just a police officer, but a friend of the people and a mother to many.”

The royal father thanked God for granting her the grace to retire in good health after 35 years of active and honourable service, and prayed for her continued success and divine guidance.

Earlier, the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (BLDR) Aderibigbe Asunmon, who earlier led tributes in appreciation of CSP Eucharia’s impactful service, described the retiring officer as a beacon of discipline, integrity, and dedication whose work significantly improved the image of the police force in Agbowa-Ikosi and its environs.

“CSP Eucharia is a woman of great virtue, who redefined community policing through her character, intelligence, and commitment,” he said.

The monarch praised her friendly yet firm approach to leadership and offered heartfelt prayers for her future. “May the Almighty continue to protect you and grant you peace, long life, and prosperity. You have served well and I pray your retirement brings more grace and fulfillment,” he prayed.

Also speaking at the colorful occasion, Area Commander of ‘Area N’ Police Command, Ijede, Lagos Command, ACP Agene James Ola, lauded CSP Eucharia’s service and maternal role in the force. “She has been a mother figure not just to officers under her command but to the entire community. Her selfless service has left an indelible mark,” he said.

Hon. Yusuf Sulaimon Adekunle, former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, recounted how CSP Eucharia became a beloved figure in the community since her posting in 2023.

“She adopted Agbowa as her own and maintained cordial relationships with everyone. Her kindness and accessibility encouraged many of our youths to join the Force,” he remarked.

Community members also paid glowing tributes. Chief Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Lafunkky, the Yeye Oge of Agbowa-Ikosi, praised her proactive leadership that curbed lawlessness and preserved peace. “She was always ready to listen and act with wisdom,” she remarked.

Landlord and community elder Mr. Tahoreed Onifade noted that CSP Eucharia was a rare gem in the Force, who stood out for her compassion and integrity.

A surprise celebration was later held in her honor by her friends and admirers, where top officials and traditional rulers joined in expressing appreciation for her service to humanity.
