By Babajide Fadoju

As the collation of results from the August 15 governorship election officially commences, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has addressed the people of Osun State, expressing gratitude for their massive turnout and peaceful conduct throughout the day.
Speaking from his campaign office in Osogbo, AMBO commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their professionalism and commitment to ensuring a free and fair electoral process. He described today’s election as a testament to the resilience and determination of the people of Osun to take back their state from a government that has failed them.
“I sincerely thank the good people of Osun State for coming out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility and make their voices heard through the ballot. Your courage and commitment to democracy are deeply encouraging. I also commend INEC and our security agencies for conducting themselves with integrity and professionalism,” AMBO said.
As the collation of results begins, the APC candidate urged his supporters and the people of Osun to remain calm, vigilant, and resolute. He warned against any attempt to subvert the will of the people or undermine the mandate freely given by voters.
“Let us protect the sanctity of the votes cast by our people. Do not allow anyone, under any guise or through any means, to subvert the will of the people or undermine the mandate they have freely chosen to give us in today’s election. We have come too far to allow our collective efforts to be compromised. Let us remain peaceful, watchful, and confident as we await the final outcome. May the will of the people prevail,” he added.
AMBO reiterated his commitment to delivering inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and equitable development to every corner of Osun. He assured the people that his administration would prioritize security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job creation, ensuring that no community is left behind.
As the state awaits the final declaration of results, the APC candidate called for continued peace and unity, urging all parties to accept the outcome of the election and work together for the progress of Osun State.
