Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has presented cash gifts to the winners of the 2023 Talent Hunt of the Boy Child Initiative Competition.

The First Lady stated this during a brief event held in her office at Lagos House Ikeja where she hosted the winners alongside their parents.

While presenting the cash support, she noted that the winners registered with LASRRA and have opened an account with Polaris Bank emphasizing that the cash has been handed over to the bank and the money will be utilized mainly for their educational needs.

The First Lady announced that the gesture would be sustained for the next four years for the beneficiaries.
She further explained that the cash token to the students will also enhance their various skills to professional and mastery level.

Dr. Sanwo-Olu advocated the need for the society to continue to support the Boy-Child in order to have a balanced society. In her words, “Boys will eventually grow to become fathers and they need sincere love and continuous guidance to navigate the journey of Life”.

Mother of one the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ngozi Fred, appreciated the First Lady for her kind gesture, noting that the Boy Child Initiative, a pet project of her Office, will further inspire and motivate boys across the state and beyond to feel loved and protected same way the society cares for the Girl Child.

Mrs. Ngozi Fred emphasized that the Talent Hunt Competition was based on merit with a straight forward process, stressing that the promise of the First Lady towards rewarding the winners for the next four years is mind-blowing.

Recall that the First Lady, Lagos State, Dr. Sanwo-Olu who champions the Lagos Boy Child Initiative (LBCI) as a way of instilling positive morals in boys and enlightening parents on behavioral management of the boy child recently organized a talent hunt competition for the boys which preceded a parenting seminar held in August this year.
