Kano CP Bakori Decorates Senior Officers with new Promotional Ranks

The Kano State Police Command is pleased to announce that the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, today, 26th March 2026, decorated three (3) senior Police officers of the command with new ranks.
The promoted officers are: Ibrahim A. Jauro, outgoing Area Commander Metro, Kano, and Muazu Umar Dange, outgoing Area Commander Tudun Wada, Kano, who were promoted from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), and Saidu Gagiyo Dachia, who was promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
In his words of advice, the State Commissioner of Police congratulated the officers on their promotion, stating that nobody attains a high rank without the attributes of dedication, loyalty, hard work, integrity, and commitment. He charged them to reciprocate this gesture with effective and efficient service delivery.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the newly decorated officers, DCP Ibrahim A. Jauro, psc expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, and the Police Service Commission for the promotion. He assured that the officers would maintain the attributes of dedication, loyalty, and discipline, and uphold high standards of professionalism in conducting their duties.
The Commissioner of Police appreciated the support and cooperation of the public and reiterated the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Kano State.
