‘INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT’ IS WAY TO GO FOR KOSOFE LGA IN 2023 – OGUNLEWE • Presents N3.2billion budget to council legislature

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe yesterday presented the ‘Budget of Infrastructural Development’ to the council legislature. With this budget, Trek Africa Newspaper observed that Barr. Ogunlewe is strengthening his resolve to open up Kosofe LGA to economic prosperity. This is the second budget by the administration which came on board 18 months.

The Budget Of Infrastructural Development is worth N3.82billion. While N1billion is expected from Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), N1.23billion will come from statutory allocation from the Federation Account and N2.08billion is projected from Value Added Tax (VAT).

In his speech at the budget presentation, the council boss, Moyosore Ogunlewe said: ‘The year 2023 Budget is tagged “Infrastructural Development” which implies that this administration is more committed to implementing projects and programmes that will have meaningful impact on the life of the populace in such a way that individual, neighborhood and community will be provided with necessary facilities, infrastructure and conducive environment that will make them utilize their full potentials and capabilities with the removal of any form of hindrances to individual economic development as hope will be kept alive among the populace.’

 

He also thanked the Almighty God, the legislators, the CDA/CDC, NGOs, good people of Kosofe Local Government, ‘our party leaders, and the Management team for their support, solidarity, and appreciation which has strengthened our will and propelled our efforts towards the development of our dear Local Government Area.’

‘I wish to let you know that we are committed more than ever before to improve the living standards of our people by implementing people oriented policies which are in line with their aspirations’, he submitted.
