INEC Releases PVC Collection Data for Edo State Ahead of Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released detailed data on the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) for Edo State in preparation for the upcoming governorship election.

 

According to the Commission, out of the total 2,629,025 registered voters in the state, 2,249,780 PVCs, representing 85.57%, have been collected. This leaves 379,245 PVCs, or 14.43%, still uncollected as of the end of the extended collection period on September 16, 2024.

INEC National Commissioner Sam Olumekun announced that there are 4,519 polling units in Edo State where voting will occur. The Commission has uploaded a detailed breakdown of PVC collections and uncollected cards for each polling unit on its website to assist political parties, candidates, and the public.
