GOV. SANWO-OLU, OGUNSAN RECEIVE Ag. IGP EGBETOKUN IN LAGOS

On the sidelines of his multifarious assignments towards boosting security and prosperity in Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and West Africa’s economic hub, the Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu today met with the acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun on a private visit in Lagos. Trek Africa Newspaper learnt that the Governor received the acting IGP on visit alongside the Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan among others.

During the visit, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hailed the acting IGP for his focused commitment on the core responsibility of maintaining internal security as well as law and order across the country. He noted with gratitude some of the giant strides of the Police boss.


In the same vein, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan appreciated the acting IGP Egbetokun for the disbandment of the killer police team in Edo, key appointments of diligent police officers as well as his great leadership since taking the no. 1 Police role in acting capacity. Ogunsan then urged him to deploy his all experience, expertise in quelling violence in the nation, Trek Africa Newspaper gathered.

Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun was appointed in acting capacity by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on 20th June 2023. Trek Africa Newspaper can inform that ag. IGP Egbetokun was the Chief Security Officer to President Tinubu during his time as Lagos’s first Governor in the 4th Republic.
