Golden Mother of Apapa-Iganmu, Fadekemi Otitonaiye Continues Yuletide Celebration with Apapa-Iganmu Residents; Distributes Essential Food Items to Support Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI

While the Yuletide celebration might have ended in many homes, the Founder of Chief Mrs. Otitonaiye F.O Foundation, Hon. Chief Mrs. Fadekemi Otitonaiye has continued to make the Yuletide season continue and memorable for many Apapa-Iganmu LCDA residents and homes, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.
This is as she fulfilled her promise made in December 2024 to make food supplies available to many less-privileged in Apapa-Iganmu LCDA. This fulfillment of her promise was done through her ‘Food Palliative Support to the Communities’ 4th edition supporting the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu last Sunday to make the 4th time she is providing hundreds of food supplies such as rice, semovita, beans, garri, cash, etc. to individuals, families, and homes. The 3rd edition in December 2024 supported over 1,000 residents.
The Iyalode of Marine Beach Community, Hon. Chief Mrs. Fadekemi Otitonaiye who was the former Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos Central Senatorial District affirmed that she is implementing this great initiative as her contributions to the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) of her esteemed principal, Senator Oluremi Shade Tinubu CON who is now the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She also added that this support will go a long way in providing succour to the good people of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA.
The Golden Mother of Apapa-Iganmu affirmed that she is following the footsteps of her Mother and Leader, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu OON the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to the Golden Mother of Apapa-Iganmu, the First Lady is worthy of emulation and the best mother in the world. She is a mother that is very kind and passionate to the people and has the people at heart. ‘I am trying my best to always give back to the people just as our mother Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON. We just distributed different food items and cash a few weeks ago and we organized this to cover more residents of my community in Apapa-Iganmu LCDA.’
Notable Leaders who were present at the event include Hon. Wahab Alawiye King ably-represented by Alhaji Bashiru; and other grassroots politicians and community leaders such as Elder James Abifarin JP; Elder Kasunmu; Alhaji Yahya; Hon. Jamco, Hon. Damilare Otitonaiye, the Councillor Ward F among others.
Speaking at the humanitarian event, Chairman of Elders & leaders in Apapa Iganmu, Honorable James Adebayo Abifarin said: ‘I have known the Celebrant for years. She has been giving to people and has worked as the woman leader at the whole Lagos central Senatorial District with our mother now First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. She proceeded to Yaba local government as a supervisor. And because of her kindness, Ojora of Lagos crowned her as the Iyalode of Marine beach.’
‘Since we have known her, she is very tolerant, accommodating, and known for giving to people. She is a strong woman who carries others along; either women, elders, youths whatever. This will be the fourth time that she has been doing it. Last December, we gave more than 500 people but the rest of the people that she promised last year, today she is fulfilling the promise by distributing to them because she is someone who fulfills her promise.’
Another elder, Alhaji kasumu Fatai Adisa who was an Apapa councillor in 1980 during the period of late Gov. Lateef Jakande said: ‘Fadekemi Otitonaiye is very honorable, patient, honest and good. She has been doing this empowerment over the years. She brings everybody together as one.’
Another grassroots politician, Alhaja Sherifat Azeez noted about Fadekemi Otitonaiye, ‘She has over the years followed someone very good (our big mummy first lady) who knows about this thing and that is the step she is also following. She is not covetous and greedy, we that work with her gets a lot of benefit and she even give us things to take home, I remember the time of COVID-19, she gave us 50 bags of Garri to give to people, and we shared it to people and took pictures, what she’s aiming for God will grant it to her.’
The beneficiaries of the food supplies excitedly moved home with the support provided by the Golden Mother of Apapa-Iganmu, Mrs. Fadekemi Otitonaiye and prayed for God’s blessings to continually be with her.
