FRSC Officer, Daughter Found Dead With Mutilated Body Parts at Osun Herbalist’s Den

A missing Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, 39, and her teenage daughter, Sewa Lasisi, have been found dead with mutilated body parts at a suspected herbalist’s den in Osun State, in what authorities believe may be a ritual killing.

The tragic discovery was revealed over the weekend, according to information shared by a Facebook user, Ayomideji Solanke, who is familiar with the family. The disturbing development comes days after the victims were declared missing in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Lasisi, a Superintendent Route Commander and a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC, and her daughter were last seen on the morning of Sunday, November 2, after leaving their home at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Efforts by family members and colleagues to reach them were unsuccessful, prompting a search and eventual police involvement.

Solanke, in an update shared on Facebook, disclosed that a family source confirmed the remains of the officer and her daughter were discovered in the residence of a suspected traditional healer in an unnamed community in Osun State.
“The mystery surrounding the disappearance of SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun and her young daughter, Sewa, has taken a tragic turn,” Solanke wrote. “Their bodies were reportedly recovered from the home of a suspected herbalist over the weekend.”

He added that while the herbalist managed to escape, his wife has been arrested.
Speaking with our correspondent on Tuesday, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, confirmed the development, stating that the Osun State Police Command had arrested some suspects in connection with the incident.
“The Osun command has commenced investigation, and they have made some arrests. They found some exhibits that are body parts,” Ogunlowo said. “For convenience’s sake, Osun will be investigating the matter, and we will provide the necessary support.”
The Commissioner added that the primary suspect is currently in the custody of the Osun State Police Command.
The incident adds to a troubling pattern of cases in which missing persons are later found dead with body parts removed across several states in Nigeria, raising renewed concerns over ritual-related crimes and community safety.
