First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Donates ₦40 Million, Food Items to Victims of Jigawa Tanker Explosion

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has extended a helping hand to victims of the recent tanker explosion in Majiya village, Jigawa State, by donating ₦40 million and various food items.
Representing the First Lady, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abbass, Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, handed over the donation to Hadiza Umar Namadi, Wife of the Jigawa State Governor, during a presentation at the Government House in Dutse.
In her message, Senator Tinubu expressed deep concern for the victims, assuring the Jigawa State government of her continued support and prayers in the recovery efforts.

Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, who was present to receive the donation, thanked the First Lady for her generosity and promised that the funds and items would be used to assist the victims effectively. The governor also appreciated the swift response from President Bola Tinubu, stating that some victims were already showing signs of recovery under medical care.

Hadiza Umar Namadi, receiving the items on behalf of the state, described the First Lady’s gesture as a reflection of motherly compassion, unity, and solidarity with the people of Jigawa during this difficult time.
Earlier, the delegation visited Rasheed Shekoni Federal University Teaching Hospital in Dutse, where several victims of the explosion are currently receiving treatment.
