The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti state may seem to be ready to put the crisis which dotted its primaries fast behind it as efforts are on for quick reconciliation of the concerned parties starting from the contestants themselves.

The party is quite not oblivious of the uphill task ahead and as such is seeking ways to mend its broken fences ahead the July 14th poll.

Trek Africa gathered authoritatively that efforts are on as ignited by the aspirants themselves to host themselves in a get-together which may come up later this evening.

The plan was spearheaded by Bimbo Daramola as he was seen passing the message to other contestants at the venue of the primaries yesterday. Daramola got in touch personally with virtually all the aspirants with positive response from them.

The winner of the primaries Kayode Fayemi has also offered the Olive branch to all other contestants asking them to confine the events which shaped up the primaries to the past and form a common front in defeating a common enemy.

In a statement released by the minister for mines and steel, Fayemi said “In all electoral contests, tempers often rise and nerves are frayed. I therefore humbly appeal to all my supporters, and to my co-contestants and their supporters, to let go of past differences as we forge ahead to a new dawn.

“The first major step is the immediate setting up of the candidate advisory council, comprising all the co-aspirants.”

Fayemi also charged the all members of the party to come together and fight for victory come July 14th.

“We must resume the march to break the yoke of ignorance that keeps our people down; liberate them from ill-health and other limitations that restrain them from achieving their potentials; and break the stranglehold of poverty which keeps people from living full creative lives.
“I would be counting on all my co-contestants to share their wealth of experience, ideas and knowledge in furtherance of our collective desire to make Ekiti great again”. The statement read.

Fayemi won other 31 aspirants at the rescheduled primary to be the standard bearer of the All Progressives. He will be facing the current Ekiti state deputy governor Kolapo Olusola of the PDP and other candidates as they will be produced by their party before the deadline given by INEC.
