DELTA POLICE RECOVERS LOCALLY MADE SINGLE BARREL GUN, BATTLE AXE, SUSPECTED INDIAN HEMP

The Delta State Police Command has recovers a locally made single barrel gun, a battle axe and wraps of suspected Indian hemp from a commercial tricycle suspected to have been occupied by armed robbers in Asaba area of the State.

In a press statement by the Command’s acting Spokesperson, DSP Edafe Bright stated that, “17/7/2021 at about 2300hrs, In compliance with the directives issued by the Commissioner of police CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, PSC+ on the continues raiding of black spot/Criminal hideout and intensive patrol/stop and search, the DPO GRA Division Asaba while on patrol with the Divisional patrol team behind NTA Asaba, a tricycle rider with two occupants on sighting them jumped down and escaped into the bush abandoning the tricycle. The tricycle with reg. no ASB 144 WZ when searched, one (1) locally made cut -to -size single barrel gun, one (1) battle axe one (1) techno phone and twenty wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and other hard drugs were recovered.”

Effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.
