Doing business in the 21st century is much more than sitting behind the computers and attending to customers. Building brand perception and corporate acceptance is absolutely a battle front on its own, especially in a very competitive sector like consumer banking in Nigeria. To keep your business concern afloat in such stiff competition will, thus, be a job well done.

This is what Charles Aigbe has done with his career as a brand strategist. He keeps raising the bars of corporate image making and perception building higher! He is only one among several men and women that work in branding, marketing, corporate communication of various banks but he has distinguished himself as an asset, even to the admiration of core professionals in the field.

Since he joined Fidelity Bank early 2017, the consummate perception strategist has brought his vast education and experience in media, brand management, corporate social responsibility, banking, stockbroking, and public relations to bear on his new role as Head, Brands and Communications. This has culminated in the bank leapfrogging in media reviews, public acceptance, social good efforts, and of course, increased market share and industry rating.

The light in completion, innovative, charismatic and down to earth Charles Aigbe is a media titan and communication strategist. He is a workaholic, goal getter, just want to ensure perfection in whatever he is involved in, very respected and handsome gentleman.

In spite of his huge responsibility and remarkable success, Charles has maintained a good working relationship with journalists across board. While many are overtly critical and angry with some media handlers of corporate organizations, they are rather appreciative of the professionalism displayed by Mr. Aigbe.

They have widely praised his convivial and composed manner of discharging his duties, whether they represent a big media organization or a small brand. This is miles apart the attitude of some others who occupy similar positions but do not deem it fit to pick calls and return calls when missed, yet do not reply SMS, WhatsApp messages or emails sent to them. This is obviously unprofessional and unkind to say the least.

By this endearing character, Mr Charles Aigbe has built confidence and cemented acceptance with media professionals who are willing to attend Fidelity Bank’s events, even at the shortest notice. They also go a step further to ensure that the activities receive wide reportage across the print, online and electronic media.

Young brand strategists ought to take a cue from the demeanour and tact with which Mr. Aigbe deliver his deliverables.

This is the kind of personality that organizations require at every level in their corporate structure or organogram. Men and women who will bring their personal success trait to bear on organizational performance. And this is simply how to leave an indelible impact on the individuals and institutions that one work with!
