The APC Chairmanship candidate in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Hon. Mrs. Adetola Adunni Abubakar expressed her assurance that the people of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA are overwhelmingly in support of her emergence as the next Executive Chairman of the council. Abubakar stated her optimism as she cast her vote today at her polling unit in Oyedele street of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in the Chairmanship elections, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

Hon. Mrs. Adetola Adunni Abubakar stated: ‘The election process is very smooth. LASIEC is doing very well and there are no negative reports from anywhere. The process is seamless and fast, and the turnout is encouraging. In fact, they were already waiting for the electoral agency so, I’m encouraged. I will tell you my chances of winning are 100 percent because I’ve done the needful to engage my people and I am widely accepted. I worked with the three Es – Engagement, Execution and Evaluation.’

On her plans for governance, Abubakar hinted: ‘I developed an eight-point agenda that is going to work for us as a people. I want the youth to please be encouraged. You are the leaders of tomorrow, and you really have to stand up to that right now. You need to be involved in what we are doing to be a part of it and benefit from it. For the women and the elderly, they should put their mind at rest because it’s going to be a round peg in the round hole. I’ve held the position of Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Elimination for seven years. I’m equally a woman and a mother and I have aged parents. I know how to treat the elderly, to treat women, and to treat children. I’ll be doing justice to empowering the women.’

‘Sports is essential. It keeps us fit and is entertaining. We have many stadiums in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. We are going to put up competitions to encourage people to go to the field. You can be sure that sports is going to be well attended to.’

‘We already have plans of course as part of this outgoing administration, I already know things that have been done by the outgoing Executive Chairman, the ones we are doing, and the ones that are left undone, which is where I’m going to start’, Abubakar concluded.
