2024: YEAR TO GAUGE TINUBU’S PRESIDENCY DURING MKO ABIOLA EPETEDO DECLARATION @ 30 – CSOs

While we wholeheartedly appreciate overwhelming support given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, during the 2023 Presidential election, we must also not shy away from the fact that fuel Subsidy’s Removal had brought unprecedented hardship to Nigerians since assumption of Office of Mr President.
Fuel Price is increased by 300%, which is inevitable because there was no Budget provision for its continued payment as from last June while the Presidential inauguration took place on Monday, 29 May, 2023.
Out of understanding, masses have been suffering and still smiling. The action of Government trigerred hyper – inflation and fuel Subsidy’s Removal Palliatives introduced by Government couldn’t touch the reasonable percentage of Nigerians. Meanwile, it is called Palliatives, which makes it temporary.
“No pain, no gain”, anyway and the way forward is for Mr President is to come out and tell us how far he has gone over a year through the topic, “Converting The Pain of June 12 Election Annulment to Gain of Renewed Hope Agenda”, during the MKO Abiola Epetedo Self – Declaration As President @ 30 Anniversary Lecture, which will be held inside Freedom Park, Lagos Island East LCDA, Lagos State, on Tuesday, 11 June, 2024, by 11am prompt, under the Chairmanship of June 12 Apostle, General Alani Akinrinade (Rtd).
Chief Host is Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State while Principal Hosts are Prince Adetoyese Olusi and Honourable Muibi Alade Folawiyo (a.k.a Pepper), Executive Chairman, Lagos Island Local Government and Executive Chairman, Lagos Island East LCDA respectively. Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, Chairman, Governor’s Advisory Council, Lagos State and Alhaji Lekan Abiola, Son of Late MKO Abiola are the Hosts.
Special Guests of Honour are Senator (Comrade) Uba Sani, Executive Governor of Kaduna State (North) and Honourable Olubunmi Tunji – Ojo, Honourable Minister of Interior (South). The June 12 Victims, June 12 Activists and Leaders of Thought in Nigeria are Guests of Honour.
Aịhaji Tanko Yakasai, former Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), (North) and Comrade Ayo Obe, former President, Civil Liberty Organisation (CLO) (South) are father and mother of the Day.
Royal fathers of the day are
His Eminence, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamayi and His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Senator Mahud Olalekan Ishola Balogun Alli Okunmade II, Emir of Zazzau, Zaria Emirate (North) and Olubadan of Ibadanland (South) respectively.
Moderators are Yerima Shettima, President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (North) and Asari Dokubo, Leader, Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (South).
The Presidential visitation to the dilapidated Epetedo Hall will follow immediately, with a view to looking at possibility of converting it to Nigeria Democratic Centre/ International Tourist Centre, dishing out youth activities all year round.
