₦38 Million Raised From 240 Individuals as Part of Retail Donations in 5 Weeks – ES/CEO LSSTF, Ogunsan

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, has disclosed that the Fund successfully raised ₦38 million through retail donations from 240 individual contributors. He made the revelation during the annual Lagos State Town Hall Meeting on Security on Thursday, describing the development as a strong testament to growing public confidence in the state’s security initiatives.

 

Dr. Ogunsan explained that the retail donation scheme was introduced to give everyday Lagosians an opportunity to directly owned and support the security architecture of the state, regardless of income level. He noted that the impressive turnout of individual donors reflects a deepening understanding that security is a collective responsibility.

According to him, ‘these contributions some as modest as N500, N1000, N5000, N10,000 and so on are deeply meaningful. For me, it’s less about the amount and more about the commitment shown by people who may not have much but are willing to give what they can for the collective good. We are truly encouraged by this achievement and we intend to replicate and expand this effort on a much larger scale.’
