ZAMFARA POLICE RESCUES 10 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS

The Zamfara state police command under the leadership of CP Abutu Yaro fdc, in collaboration with the State Peace and reconciliation Committee have secured the unconditional release of Ten (10) Kidnapped victims abducted by some group of kidnappers.
In a press statement by the Command’s Public relations officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, “On 29th March , 2021, the Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP Abutu Yaro fdc, in collaboration with the State Peace and reconciliation Committee have secured the unconditional release of Ten (10) Kidnapped victims abducted by some group of kidnappers who stormed Kaya village of Maradun LGA in the early hours of today.”
“The victims including seven (7) women and three (3) men were abducted and taken to Sububu forest by their abductors but later released intardem with the ongoing peace process enunciated by Governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle MON.
Meanwhile, all the rescued kidnapped victims have been debriefed by the Police and later handed them over to the sole Administrator of Maradun local government hale and harty, who will reunite them with their families.
Investigation regarding the abduction of the victims has commenced and the outcome will be made public.
