Yobe: Bego takes over as Information Commissioner

Abdullahi Bego

Former spokesman Abdullahi Bego has already resumed office as Yobe state Commissioner of Home Affairs, Information and Culture.

Bego, who is the longest serving spokesman among his colleagues had
worked with late Governor Mamman Ali, Senator Ibrahim Geidam and
Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Considered as workaholic, eloquent, Bego has worked in many organisations including Daily Trust Newspaper.

While assuming office, Bego promised to revitalise the ministry, Yobe State Television (YTV), Yobe Broadcasting Corporation, Yobe Printing Press, among other parastatals under the ministry,

Bego called for cooperation among the staff, saying he belongs to all
regardless of where any come from.

According to him, “What matters most to me is result. My task is to make sure the administration of governor Mai Mala Buni succeeds.”

Some staff of the ministry while speaking to Blueprint expressed optimism that time of transformation has come.
