For persons who are in service, it can be somewhat difficult for them to air their opinions because theirs is a regimented profession. Added to that, the civil population do not spare them the backlash whenever there is a matter. Therefore, when they find people in the civil sector who understands the uniqueness of their task and are bold to speak for them, they are excited.

Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim themed: “Community Policing: Building A Safer Nigeria Together” on Monday 11th December 2023 in Lagos. As he spoke, the hall packed full of DPOs from all parts of Lagos bellowed with claps to show their affirmation, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

In his goodwill message at the meeting, Mr. Ibadin noted: ‘Community policing is the way to go. For the police of today what they have achieved so far, I call them the best in the world.’

The supernumerary police officer, Mr. Ibadin reasoned: ‘This is because they work all night. In fact, some DPOs sleep in the office.’

The PCRC Victoria Island Chairman then harped on support from government and the people. This is so that the Nigeria Police can continue to discharge effectively. ‘We need to help them get local intelligence and government support to discharge their job effectively.’
