‘What have you done with your position?’ Nigerians ask Dogara in response to tweet

A tweet by Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, seems to have pit him against his numerous social media followers.

Dogara had tweeted:

Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara

@YakubDogara

But his social media followers seem to be angry at what appears to be a denial of Nigerian politicians’ contributions to the state of the nation. Consequently, the Speaker’s followers took him to task through their sometimes unkind responses.

See the responses, as tweeted back at the lawmaker:

OlasunKanmy@kanmyexcellent

The robbery attack against Nigerians by NASS is worst that AK47 Rifles
You only cry out when you’re scared by police but the common man are meaningless

Bunch of Looooooooooters and criminaaaaaals without good political ideology and futuristic agenda.

Julius Akwe@majorb007

By who exactly? Because you are part of government and you have a fair share of the blame. Don’t come to us when your interest is at stake which is always the case.

LEGENDARY@iam_zafresh

SO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH YOUR POSITION TO CURB SUCH SCENERY. IF YOU WANT TO DEFECT, PLS DEFECT AND WITH THE QUOTE.

BUHARI/OSIBAJO 2019@bayucivil1

All these sermon coming when your interest is at stake, your job is to make laws and provide oversight on their implementation but you will rather award yourselves bogus salaries and unreasonable allowances and then seek public pity when your fellow rogues come for your heads.

Yoúsoúph@Officially_YM

Do u have a quote to describe politicians like u who have turned zombies 🧟‍♂️ in the hands Saraki and those who pad national budget for selfish gains?

Ouch Post@OUCHFRANDIB

You couldn’t have been more correct, Hon. Dogara! In other words, Nigerian youths should rise and take what rightfully belongs to them!

Charles@Charles27242568

What have you done in the senate since you have been there? You all sit and frustrate Buhari’s fight to save the country. We know who the true enemies of this country are. You and your lots in the house. Nigerians can’t be fooled.

Someone blames President Muhammadu Buhari and Police IG Ibrahim Idris:

John Grace@JohnGra60799908

Someone commends Dogara:

Al Basherr@bashirisadi

Another referred him to a Bible passage in Nehemiah 5:3-20, which details how Nehemiah helped the poor to overcome economic hardship:
