The former NFF boss criticized Davido, suggesting that there are more prominent figures in the industry who surpass him.

The comments were reportedly made by Pinnick during the 19th edition of the Warri Again show.

Pinnick also claimed that event organizers had arranged for a private jet worth $18,000 for his appearance at the event, even though he did not ultimately attend.

The former NFF boss explained that his absence led to the organizers replacing him with another performer, Shallipopi.

Pinnick stated, “We paid Davido $94,600 on the 6th of April. We paid $18,000 for his plane. If he claims to be a prominent figure, we will inform him that there are individuals who surpass him. I’m not jesting. So, while he was playing his back-and-forth games, we decided to secure another artist, Shallipopi.”

He continued, “You see, when people assert their prominence, it astonishes me. Isn’t Burna Boy currently the most prominent artist in Nigeria? Burna Boy is of Itsekiri descent. Burna Boy’s paternal grandmother is Itsekiri.

Therefore, he surpasses him (Davido). Is there anyone more prominent than RMD in the acting industry? Or anyone more prominent than Ali Baba in the comedy industry?”
