VIRAL VIDEO: CP ODUMOSU CONDEMNS EXTORTION, ORDERS ARREST OF OFFICERS

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu has ordered immediate arrest of officers allegedly involved in a viral video on social media extorting money from a citizen in Maroko area of the State.
In a press statement e-signed and released by the Command’s Spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu stated that, “Attention of the Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to a video going viral on social media exposing some Police officers in Maroko Police Division extorting money from a citizen.”
Peeved by the unprofessional conduct of the officers as captured/revealed in the video, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, directed that the erring police officers should be identified and arrested immediately.
In compliance with the directive, therefore, all the four police officers have been arrested and detained. They are currently facing disciplinary actions.
While condemning this inglorious act, the Commissioner of Police vows to deal decisively with any police officer found acting in such or other unprofessional manner in the Command.
