UWTF Congratulates Onochie On Her Appointment As NDDC Chairman

Founder of Uplifting Women Through Farming Project, Afoma Adigwe, has congratulated, the newly appointed chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, describing it as a well-deserved nomination.
The appointment of Lauretta Onochie as the Chairman of the NDDC was approved by the Senate recently during Tuesday plenary.
A statement singed and made available to Independent Newspaper by the founder of Uplifting Women Through Farming project, Afoma Adigwe reads : “ this recognition is an attestation to your pedigree as an astute administrator, whose penchant for due process is exemplary, it is also pertinent to underscore its gender-parity uniqueness of being the first woman to be so appointed.

“It is our hope and prayer that as you assume duty, the Almighty will grant you the necessary wisdom, to engender remarkable positive turn-around in line with the founding goals of the interventionist organisation, prominent amongst which is to usher in genuine development of the Niger-Delta region, Nigeria and indeed humankind’’.
It could be recalled that the appointment of Onochie who is President Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media witnessed confirmation of additional candidates by the senate with the exception of two who were not present for the screening at the national assembly ground.
