UNAIDS CHIEF MEET FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU IN ADDIS ABABA, MATERNAL HEALTH TOPS DISCUSSION

The Executive Director of the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, (UNAIDS), Ms Winnie Byanyima has paid a visit to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

 

The visit came on the sidelines of the 28th General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLD) which is holding in the East African country.

 

During the meeting, they both discussed issues bordering on the prevalence of Infant HIV/AIDS, the campaign against Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, addressing Tuberculosis amongst others.

 

Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the First Lady reiterated her readiness to do all she can to help bring the statistics to the barest minimum in Nigeria.
