Treasure real estate MD seeks police intervention against land grabber

Managing Director of Treasure Real Estate Ltd, Mr Iyamu Derrick, has called on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Force CID Annex, Alagbon, Usman Alhassan Belel, to seek justice over land fraud perpetrated by Olukosi Families of Okun Ajah area of Lagos state.

Derick in a petition on Tuesday in Lagos, stated that sometime in September, 2019, he bought 30 plots of land situated at Ashimi Olukosi family land, Okun Ajah Village, Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State at the rate of Sixty Million Naira Only.

According to him, after making payment, he had a written agreement and other documents issued to him and subsequently fenced the properties.

The estate developer explained that trouble however started on March 30, when he received a phone call that some people had destroyed the fence and taken possession of the landed property.

“To my surprise, I discovered that the same family who sold the landed property to me are same people who invaded and encroached into my property with thugs numbering up to 20.

“Armed with dangerous weapons, like cutlasses and guns, they chased the people working for me at the site away.

“When I called the family head, Alhaji Sikiru Olukosi on phone, he threatened my life and promised to deal with me,” he said.

The estate developer therefore, request that the AIG Usman Alhassan Belel in the interest of justice look into his petition with the intention of apprehending all the people involved for prosecution.
