That First Bank Nigeria Plc is no. 1 financial institution in Nigeria is not just in its name. It is in its capacity to spot talents who are top notch in various aspect of banking operations such as security, IT, customer service, marketing, and so on.

This has imbued confidence in the vast clientele of the reputable organization.
When you have a sound human relationship, there is no way it won’t rub off on your organization in terms of good rating in security and customer satisfaction.

People will just love to be involved in activities that will protect your security and not inimical to your progress. This is what Folake Ani-Mumuney brings to bear. It is called The Folake Ani-Mumuney Effect.

Working with Folake Ani-Mumuney is a blessing not just to those who work with her within the office space. Even those who work with her outside the office acknowledge her humane capacity while delivering on her tasks. She is approachable, offers a helping hand, attuned to leaving a positive influence, and readily dispenses support everywhere, whenever. You can find this effect in all of the multinationals where she has worked.

Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney

Fondly called FAM in the media/PR and corporate marketing sector, Folake Ani-Mumuney is one of the finest professionals from First Bank.

In this era of cybersecurity and innovative banking, the amiable lady brings an advantage of multifaceted skills into her role as the Global Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, FBN Holdings.

This includes law, philosophy, coding, business computing, leadership, management, and much more.

FAM matches her humaneness with world-class education knowledge Having completed her secondary education and gotten admission to study law quite early, her parents – the Owosinas – didn’t think it best for the young prodigy to grace the university campus yet.

They settled for A-levels at Queen’s College, Lagos but fate wanted better. Thus, her uncle convinced the Owosinas to allow Folake aged 15 to study Philosophy first at the University of Ife.

As soon as she finished her Philosophy degree, she again got another admission to study law, this time around at the University of Buckingham, England. By now, the great Nigerian surgeon, late Dr. Francis Owosina and her wife can no longer deny. Dr. Francis Owosina is famous for pioneering the hip replacement and spinal surgery in Nigeria.

This success earned National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi the landmark honour to become a World Health Organisation collaborating centre in 1979.

Today, there is an edifice dedicated to the memory of the medical doctor inside the health institution located on Ikorodu road, Lagos.

For Folake, her quest for academic excellence didn’t stop after law. She enrolled for a diploma in Business Computing Systems Analysis and Design, learned how to code using the Structured Query Language (SQL), did an Executive Program at the Harvard Business School, and has bagged many other certifications and affiliations with many professional bodies.

This includes Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK; Member of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria.

She serves in advisory capacity to many organisations on strategy and marketing communications. She also chairs or co-chairs a handful of private sector and NGO Boards and contributes to the public sector through her appointment into select committees.

FAM is the first female President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria and an Executive Council Member, World Federation of Advertisers.

She is one of the top 50 in the PR Power List and is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Marketing World 2019 Awards in Ghana.

She was honored and bagged the ‘NAOSNP Corporate Communication Icon of the Decade’ presented by former Military Governor of Old Imo State, Major General Ike Nwachukwu (rtd) at the just held NAOSNP National Security Conference organized by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
