Stop Prolong Detention, Delving Into Civil Matters, AIG Zone 2 Fayoade Expresses Displeasure, Warns Police Officers

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in-charge of Zone 2 command, Onikan, AIG Adegoke Fayoade has expressed his displeasure and warned police officers especially, officers and men of the Zone 2 command to stop unnecessary, prolong detention of suspects and desists from delving into civil matters.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers NAOSNP by the Zonal PPRO, CSP Ayuba T. Umma stated that, “The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade while commending officers and men of the Zone 2 Command for their efforts and commitment in the fight against crime and criminality also emphasized the need to maintain a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their statutory duties.”

According to the statement, “The AIG did not only warn against unnecessary, prolong detention of suspects but also delving into civil matters while he stress the need for accountability: as each and every one will be accountable for their actions and inactions in the protection of the rights of citizens who they’ve been called to protect.”
“The lecture was not drawn to a close until he had talked about eschewing all forms of corrupt practices, he also urged officers to be proactive and effective as they proceed in the service to the humanity.”
