-Says ‘No hiding place for criminals in Ikorodu and its environs’
For an axis noted for high crime rate, ritualistic activities and other negative lifestyles like Ikorodu, desperate times will require drastic actions. This must have underscored the appointment of SP Adams Uba as the Officer-in-Charge of Zonal Intervention Squad Ikorodu Lagos on 21st November, 2019 by the seasoned leadership of police boss, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc+, Zone II Lagos.
Having built a track record of excellence with his boss Mr. Ahmed Iliyasu at various points, it is not far-fetched that when someone decisive is needed, SP Adams Uba is called upon to give Ikorodu and its environs a new lease of life devoid of criminal elements. It would be recalled that while AIG Ahmed Iliyasu was the Commissioner of Police in Kano state, SP Adams Uba worked with him as OC Anti DABA (Anti Cultism) and OC KANO SARS respectively in Kano State Command. Previously, he had also worked with the gallant senior police officer, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu when he was the Commissioner of Police in Ogun state.
Thus, though he carries affable look in terms of physical stature, SP Adams Uba should not be toyed with by cultists, ritualists, kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminals throughout the length and breadth of Ikorodu. This is because he wields a big stick with his intelligence and hard work and is poised to bring sanity to the society.
A Prince of Shiroro in Niger State, Adams has a remarkable scorecard as a crime buster par excellence. He has played a vital role in the cattle rustlers and herdsmen crisis that ravaged Niger State, as Officer-in-Charge of SARS, Squadron Commander of Mopol 48, Ahoada in Rivers State, headed the Anti-Robbery Squad, code-named “Hawk Squad” in Imo state in 2008 amongst other sterling results.

Speaking with Trek Africa Newspaper’s Editorial Team during a courtesy visit to his Zonal office in Ikorodu, SP Adams Uba noted ‘this place is noted for devious activities due to its terrain. But I can assure you this place will be a no go area and it will not be business as usual for criminal minded individuals. Every devious element should stop immediately. There will be no hiding place for criminals as they will be flushed out in no distant time.
The graduate of Economics added: ‘If you will not live by principles you would rather find a different zone. This zone as headed by AIG Ahmed Iliyasu will not condone acts of violence and crime.’ he warned.
