The Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON has celebrated with the entire Maikyau family as the son of the President of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Barr. Yakubu C. Maikyau, OON, SAN, Israel Danmanya Maikyau graduates with a First Class at the 17th Convocation Ceremony of Covenant University. Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the young, cerebral Israel Danmanya Maikyau graduated with a first class with a CGPA of 4.64 from the College of Engineering, Department of Computer Sciences.
The Governor who is Elder brother to the NBA President was full of joy as he joined bigwigs in the lawyers’ association in Ota Ogun State to celebrate with the Maikyaus. Also in attendance to rejoice with the family, Trek Africa Newspaper gathered was the General Secretary of the NBA, Adesina Adegbite; the Welfare Secretary, Chinyere Obasi; the National Assistant Publicity Secretary, Charles Ajiboye; an elder of the bar, Nasir Salau; and the Chairman, Eti-Osa Lawyers Forum Adewale Sanni among others.

The visibly elated Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, in his Goodwill message, thanked the university for their deliberate efforts in raising students with good character and further commended the management for their role in raising Israel into the man he is becoming. Also, the Nigerian Bar Association rejoiced with the Governor and the family of the President of the NBA and wishes Israel success in his future endeavors.
In his remarks, the NBA President, Maikyau while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the NBA commended the management of the university and urged the Chancellor of the University, Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo to introduce the Faculty of Law in the University. Responding to the request, the Chancellor of the private university, Bishop David O. Oyedepo announced that the building of the Faculty of Law and Medicine structures will commence in the first quarter of this year.
