-Joins APC women to throw a surprise birthday party
In pairs, dozens and scores, notable APC women in Somolu thronged the Local Government Secretariat at wake of work after the relaxing and entertaining Sallah holidays.
Gorgeously dressed in various white native and purple head gear ‘gele’, the women were surely ready for merriment but the venue was latent. A venue secretly designed to suite an event for a beautiful woman.
The APC Ward women leaders new had the idea of how birthday party they arranged will get escalated as the Conference Hall of Somolu Local Government Secretariat was full to capacity with friends, team mates, family and well wishers.
The beautiful woman of the day, the celebrant, who was gorgeously dressed for a supposed wedding of a party chieftain daughter, courtesy of the Somolu APC Women Leader, Hon. Abiola Fashoro; was happily astonished as her face was full of tears of joy. Market women were not left out of the merriment to celebrate a gorgeously radiant woman of humility.
The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, was even more surprised to see his mother, Alhaja Salawu (Mama Equal Right) who was accompanied to the event by Mrs. Rukayah Ayoka Salawu, radiantly smiling and dancing among the women in celebration mood of his beloved Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salawu whose birthday is June 5.
While addressing the guests, the Mayor of Somolu, thanked Allah for the life, support and love of his mother ‘Mama Equal Right’ whose sacrifice, perseverance and humility were directly emulated by his sweet Chairperson, Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salawu.
In her vote of thanks, Mrs. Omotanwa Salawu, said her appreciation knows no bound to Almighty God and Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu and all APC women in Somolu and Lagos State. “You are more special by making me to be special on my day, God bless you all for doing this for”, the celebrant said.
