SHE LIVED ‘A SHORT BUT WORTHY LIFE’ – IGP BABA, OTHERS CELEBRATES LATE WIFE OF VETERAN SECURITY JOURNALIST, MRS. AGBAMBU IN SERVICE OF SONGS

It was an evening of tribute in honour of the life and times of late Mrs. Sharon Abisola Agbambu today at the Service of Songs held in Revival Assembly Church in Akilo, Ogba, Lagos. The 50-year-old wife of veteran security journalist and CEO of Security Watch Africa, Mr. Patrick Agbambu had passed away recently after a brief illness.

Though the demise came as a rude shock, the family, friends, colleagues, and associates took solace in the fact that she lived a worthy life. They used the Service of Songs to express thanksgiving to God for her life Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper reports.

Conveying the deepest condolences of Nigeria Police Force in a letter personally signed by IGP Usman Alkali Baba, Police PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who represented the IGP at the Service of Songs shared about Mrs. Agbambu: ‘she will be remembered for her exceptional virtues as a dependable and supportive wife and mother; and her legacy of humility and service to humanity will remain lasting testimonies to the short but worthy life she lived.’

The children of the late woman also glowingly praised their late mother. Ramah Agbambu said: ‘You taught me love, patience, and endurance. You taught me how to pray and led by example. She was the most loving, humble, compassionate, understanding, family-oriented woman, and one of the most beautiful souls one could ever meet.’ Describing her as ‘my guardian angel’, Abundance Agbambu said: ‘you were an extremely strong woman, a very lovable and fun woman, a fighter and you fought a good fight of faith.’

Recalling life with late Mrs. Agbambu, Uchechukwu Agbambu expressed: ‘if it wasn’t for your love and care, I wonder what I would be doing with my life. With passion and vision you always correct every mistake and every wrong step taken’.

The son, Promise Agbambu noted: ‘Not even a minute goes by without her being remembered. She has been there for my siblings and I, she is my only superhero.’

 

Old classmates of Mrs. Sharon Abisola Agbambu from Command Secondary School, Ikeja were also present at the Service of Songs. Describing her as a ‘flower plucked too soon’, some could not hold their tears. The 1991 set mentioned: ‘You lived with all of your soul from childhood, you cared for all. You fought till the last breath. You apparently saw a better place before you actually departed.’

Members of staff of the husband’s organization, Security Watch Africa Initiatives also eulogized the woman’s impact on their personal lives and the organization. They hinted that they will miss the great supportive role of the woman. ‘The news of your sudden demise came to us as a shock knowing how well you fought to stay alive. We will miss your support in no small measures to our boss and organization which has kept it going for over 25 years’, they disclosed in their letter of condolence.
