SARAKI SEEK SUPPORT FOR IKPEAZU, HIMSELF

Ahead of the forthcoming PDP primary election the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his presidential campaign team have paid visit to the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu with a request for the PDP in the State to support him emerge as the presidential candidate and return Governor Ikpeazu to office in 2019 .

Receiving his guests in Government House Umuahia, Governor Ikpeazu described the Senate President as a man that has all it takes to lead Nigeria. According to the Governor, Nigeria is more divided now than before and needs people like Senator Saraki at the helms of affair to bring about unity in the country.

He said that both the political leaders and stakeholders in Abia State are united and as there are no ‘Abuja’ or ‘local’ politicians, but all of them now speak in one voice, hence they would ensure they do the right thing to take PDP and Nigria to the promised land.

Earlier, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki appreciated the leadership style of Governor Ikpeazu and urged him to continue to deliver to Abians the dividends of democracy.

According to the Senate President, he came to Abia to seek support of the Governor and party men in making him emerge as the party flag bearer for the 2019 presidential election.

He said that Nigeria at present is suffering and needs good leadership. He condemned the lopsided appointments in the country and said if elected, he would ensure equitable distribution of power in line with the federal character.

The Senate president, who stated the need for restructuring of Nigeria equally said, he understands the problems of Nigeria and possesses the capacity to fix the problems of Nigeria.
