‘SACRIFICE OF PRAISE’ POUR OUT AT MUSICAL YOUTH FIESTA 2019

Talk about skills of youth at the very best, feel the energy of youth at its peak, catch the fire of youthful evangelism as demonstrated in music, dance, Word and prayers; and that’s what the Musical Youth
Fiesta Initiative (MYFI) represents.

The annual event organised by Senator Oluremi Shade Tinubu OON now in its 9th edition had the venue, Eko Convention Center fully packed with a congregation of worshipers that cut across age, gender, culture and religion from local government areas within and outside the Lagos Central Senatorial District, which is the immediate constituency of the Convener/Chairman of the youth initiative.

From the acapella groups to the different choirs to the various individual singers and the instrumentalists, praises to ‘the King of kings, the Lord of lords and the Father of all living’ flowed freely
‘through our young ones’ as Senator Tinubu shared in her welcome speech.

She noted that the theme of every year’s conference have always been borne out of the inspiration of the Spirit of God, thus ‘The Sacrifice of Praise (the theme of MYFI 9th edition) was borne out of our concern for tbe state of our nation’.

In the same vein, the Patron of the youth fiesta, Pastor J. A. Bolarinwa added: ‘Beloved, we want to encourage us to come together believing that better days are ahead of our beloved country Nigeria.
Therefore, let us engage in the Sacrifice of Praise in this season and the Almighty GOD will accept our praise for a good and greater turnaround today and in the coming year’.

Trek Africa Newspaper noted that the duo led scores of youth and children to Christ in a short prayer session during the conference.

In her short remarks, the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-olu shared her record of stewardship at the Musical Youth Fiesta Initiative dating back to the first year, ‘I have been through the entire event, first, second, third, to the ninth personally present’. She added that education is the passport to the future for those who prepare for it today, and that the current administration will continue to invest in education as Lagos state is noted for over the years.

The musical conference was graced by the Governor of Lagos state, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu and his wife, Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-olu, the Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and his wife, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, the Honourable Minister for Youth and Sport, Mr. Sunday Dare, the Head of service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola and his wife, Mrs. Serifat Aregbesola, wife of Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Hon. Princess Rasheedat Adu, Chairman of Iru/VI Local Council Development Area, Mrs. Fadekemi Otitonaiye, women leader of Lagos Central Senatorial District, Dr. Mrs. Stella Okoli, CEO Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Pastor Kunle ‘the minstrel’ Ajayi, Chief Mrs. Abba ‘the Sisi at 77’ Folawiyo, Mrs. Giwa from the New Era Foundation, and several women leaders from local councils spread across Lagos.
