Have you heard of the word Rock Of Ages? Dependable Pillar?

See as dem take explain Rock of Ages for one platform? An unfailing source of strength. The term was originally a religious one, a translation from the Hebrew in the Bible (Isaiah 26:4), which the King James Version has as “everlasting strength.”

Then see as dictionary take define am, an inexhaustible source of strength or support.

Today’s sermon would be translated both in broken and amended English. So we go start by explaining wetin proverbs mean.

“A proverb is a simple, concrete, traditional saying that expresses a perceived truth based on common sense or experience. Proverbs are often metaphorical and use formulaic language.”

To drive home my point I go communicate in proverbs to let my message quick sink for the opposition wey e b say na Tinubu na b their headache now. So this is my compilation of African proverbs as narrated by Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah.

“Knowledge without wisdom is like water in the sand” – It is very sad that anti-Tinubu’s supporters are deluding themselves of reality and may have missed the point by not focusing on their hero rather than dissipating energy on a Tinubu’s candidacy which time seems to have landed.
Today Tinubu’s likely consensus candidacy for APC don dey scatter the opposition parties, as we speak they are not comfortable that Tinubu is now the most sellable candidate.
As time dey go eye dey open, people dey realise say na still the SAME political class na get wetin e take to contest for the 2023 presidency, so all these blackmail of youthful candidate don dey fail because you can’t give what you don’t have.

“When there is no enemy within the enemies outside will not hurt you.” Tinubu support for APC na highest, u accept am or not na him get the largest network wey cut across the 36 States. Tinubu and APC na like 5 and 6 , dem dey him back kampe na make till tomoro we no dey hear any other name dey trend for presidency for inside APC.

“If you overtake a leader, you break your neck.” – These people wan do pass themselves dem go collect oh, Tinubu na South West leader at the same time Tinubu na still National Leader how u wan come take blow pass am?

“Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors.”- Tinubu has always fought through political battles and came out victorious, his navigation for inside political storm na d highest ever. Na make dem call am rock of ages so, very dependable even in the midst of crisis. The man don pay him dues.

” Frog no dey jump go back” -This na the first pidgin English quote, make I use English translate am, Tinubu is a visionary leader who has attained an enviable height in public administration that the only office he can aspire for now is the presidency, His years of administrative astuteness gives him an enviable edge over his political rivals. History must be made.

“A woman married without consultation runs away without consultation.” Dem dey vex say Tinubu dey romance the North, me I no understand, no be president of Nigeria he wan be? He must consult with everybody to carry them along, just like wetin e do when e b Lagos State Governor, him cabinet represent pan-Nigerian.

“One who is looking for a wife does not speak with contempt about women”- Some say make Tinubu dey curse northerners, you no see as human beings wicked, ask dem if their presidential aspirant dey curse Southerners? Yeye dey smell. Person wan be president you want make him dey insult him, wives, for the 36 states of the Federation?

‘A man’s first wife never complains of neglect from the p&nis, the first morsel never complains of insufficient sauce.” This na another strong proverb I swear down, you don see where mama dey deny HER pikin? APC must always dey proud of Tinubu, na pay back time.

“If you escaped from the lion’s den, why go back for your hat?” – This one dey always make me laugh, you call him a kingmaker who hardly loses the battle and yet you feel you can match him, no gladiator would venture to lose a battle with Tinubu and attempt another contest. That is why even the opposition has no formidable aspirant making the rounds now like the Jagaban.

“A clever king is the brother of peace.” This na popular South African Proverb, Tinubu na man of peace and his major selling point na that him patriotism to see Nigeria as one, rich in diversity and strong in cohesion.

“Even the best cooking pot will not produce food.”- Anywhere you turn na Tinubu this , Tinubu dat, “na hand join hand make rice plenty inside pot.’ Tinubu needs everyone if he has to become the next president, he needs the full support of Nigerians.

“The good mother knows what her children will eat.” I like this proverb die but some people go rush interpret am upside down, see even Jesus talk say your earthly father cant give you stone to GRUB. My brother na only papa wey like pikin go give am the best. Tinubu’s love for Nigerians is unassailable and he’s smart enough to grow his political loyalist.

“The man who says he will not marry a woman with other admirers will not marry a woman.” – If you say because everybody dey shout Tinubu name everywhere na go make you no go vote na b say you never ready for any change be at. Ogbeni go and sell your candidate if at all you get, if not join the moving train.

“He who thinks he is leading and has no one following him is only taking a walk.” – This na another savage African proverb, these naysayers should come and tell us who is following their heroes, if they have heroes would they have time for gossip talk about Asiwaju? Fawhere . Dem dey nack teeth, even their chairmen no get followers. A leader without a follower is dat one a leader?

“A good deed is something someone returns” Appreciation is key, e b like Obi Cubana mama burial, of all the moral lapses wey we see for the celebration the fact remain say it is good to be good….nothing una wan talk wey go make Obi Cubana guys think twice with the way dem lavish money ontop the Anambra billionaire …..na so nothing anybody wan talk wey go make the political class-dump Tinubu na simply payback time. It is good to be good.

“Sticks in a bundle are unbreakable.” Na here Tinubu take finish them, how you wan take scatter Tinubu foundation? E b like full broom u think say u fit break am with ordinary hand? Dem get support reach Tinubu?

“Seeing is different than being told” – No b to dey siddon browse social media u feel say na go win the election? Polling unit no dey Facebook oh, make una go Akwa Ibom see Tinubu support base, go Lagos make u see support base, come Edo see support base, go Rivers , then u go know say… seeing is believing.

“You can tell a ripe corn by its look.”- Bird no dey tell bird say stone dey come, it is Tinubu’s time to stir the leadership of our great nation.

“If there is a character, ugliness becomes beauty, if there is none, beauty becomes ugliness” -Tinubu has an impeccable character that is why his consensus candidacy is been muted.

“Those who palm-kernels were cracked for them by a benevolent spirit should not forget to be humble” – This na advice to some Tinubu beneficiaries wey dey forget how the Jagaban take make them politically today. ” Who chop bellyful must still hungry”

“When you see a turtle on top of a fence, know that it did not get there on its own.”- Nobody fit ever reach the top without assistance from others. Tinubu is humble.

” A warrior fights with courage and not anger” This is one of the traits I love about the Jagaban ,he has tolerance and he’s ready to listen to every one of his followers, that na why you see say dem dey follow am upadan, how many of their heroes get such traits?

So when i see imaginary stories about Tinubu for social media I go just shake my head.

Person wey dey pursue elephant no dey stop for road stone bird. YOU MUST ATTEND TO THE BUSINESS WITH THE VENDOR IN THE MARKET, AND NOT TO THE NOISE OF THE MARKET.”
