ROAD CRASH IN BADAGRY, 5 CONFIRMED DEAD • FRSC Sector Commander, Ogungbemide condoles with family

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos has confirmed the death of four male and one female adult in a road crash which occurred on Agemowo- Buhari Estate inward Badagry on the Lagos/Badagry Expressway at about 2043hrs of Sunday 12th February, 2023. Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the crash involved two (2) vehicles as follows:
1. Vehicle Reg: T-8101LA
Volvo, Commercial truck
2. Vehicle Reg: JJJ947HM Ash Toyota Sienna

The preliminary cause is loss of control leading to the bus ramming into the stationary truck as a result of poor visibility.

As at the time of reporting this crash, four male and one female adult occupants of the Sienna bus has been confirmed dead and were taken to Badagry General Hospital mortuary. FRSC operatives in conjunction with other traffic Management agencies cleared the obstructions off the road.

The Sector Commander Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the bereaved. He said drivers of trucks should ensure that minimum safety standards are maintained at all times while other road users should avoid speeding and drive with caution under low visibility or outrightly avoid night driving to prevent unwarranted loss of lives and destructions.
