Dr Stephen Akintayo, chairman, Gtext Holdings, has disclosed that his Foundation is set to launch the ‘Mercy Food Bank’ in Lagos, Nigeria and Houston, Texas in the USA.

Akintayo made the disclosure at the unveiling of his books: ‘The “ABC” of America’s Real Estate Investment’ and ‘Global Real Estate Investment Handbook’.

According to him, proceeds from the sales of the books will go into funding of the food bank.

“This is our vision for a hungry -free world .
“Also, one of the way we intend to be to fund the food bank is from proceeds; profit from this books,” he said.

Akintayo further said that the Foundation intended to feed about one billion people globally over the next 50 years.

This he said was part of the economic expectations for 2025.

The chairman noted that he expected a further tightening of the economy so as to make a significant impact in the lives of the people.

The Foundation is bracing for a tightening economy, but we remain committed to the mission of creating a world where no one has to go hungry .

Speaking on the books, the real estate guru explained that they’re guidesguide that spans four continents which includes Africa, Europe, Asia and America.

“It provides a comprehensive analysis of each market, including key differences, unique opportunities, and comparative insights.

“The ABCs of America’s Real Estate Investment” focus exclusively on the United States, it highlights ongoing 200m USD US expansion.

“The project portfolio includes a 99-acre mixed-use development set for completion by 2030, an 89-unit housing project in Richmond, and another site in Tidwell slated to break ground in 2025.

“We have raised 140m USD from institutional investors, leaving only 60m USD to secure,” he said.

Akintayo said “The Global Real Estate Investment Handbook” is a pioneering guide that spans four continents— Africa, Europe, Asia and America.

He said the handbook provides a comprehensive analysis of each market, including key differences, unique opportunities, and comparative insights.

The author further added that the handbook demystifies cross-border property investment, addressing misconceptions such as the belief that foreigners cannot own properties for life in Dubai or that citizens of the United States face legal barriers to property ownership.
