AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade, mni, psc was born on the 28th of October, 1966. He hails from Ila-Orangun in Ila Local Government Area of Osun State.
He holds a Master Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Lagos, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Lagos State University, a Diploma in Political Science and LLB (Hons) from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). He was at John Jay College 0f Criminal Justice, New York, USA.
AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force on 18th May, 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has served in various capacity across the federation as he grows through the ranks.
In the early part of his career, he served in Taraba, Akwa-Ibom and Abia States
He was the DPO in Ilupeju, Victoria Island, Ajao Estate and MAN Centre Police Stations in Lagos.
In 2014, he was deployed as Commandant of the Police Training College Oyin-Akoko, Ondo State, after his promotion to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
In 2015, he became the Area Commander at the Otta Area Command, Sango-Ota, Ogun State.
Upon promotion to the Rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in 2018, he was deployed as DC Maritime Command, Lagos and later as DC (Admin) Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos State
In January 2021, he was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of the elite State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, Yaba-Lagos.
He was Commissioner of Police in-charge of Armament Force Headquarters, Abuja
With his recent elevation to the enviable rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police, he was posted to Zone 2 Command Onikan, Lagos comprising Lagos and Ogun State Commands as the 32nd Assistant Inspector General of Police. He was the immediate past Commissioner of Police in-charge of Lagos State Police Command.
The crime fighting, community friendly and Human Right Compliant Assistant Inspector General of Police has attended several local and international courses which includes but not limited to:

Some of his meritorious awards in the course of his policing career are;
Distinguished Service Award by the Ota Awori Community, Star Award in Criminal Investigation by Miss Security Nigeria.
Excellence Award in Crime Busting and NAOSNP Man of the year by National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP.
Two-time Meritorious Award on Crime Fighting from Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria.
Youth Motivator Award by National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
Two-time International Award as Best Divisional Police Officer in Africa awarded in The Hague, Netherlands, and Nairobi, Kenya, in 2007 and 2013 by Altus Global Alliance and CLEEN Foundation, respectively.
He was also a two-time winner of the Best Divisional Police Officer in West Africa presented by Security Watch Africa in South Africa and United Arab Emirates in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
