In furtherance of its objectives to help humanity, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo Foundation partnered the TOS Educational Initiative to host World Book Day event recently at the Jakande Johnson Tinubu (JJT) park, Alausa, Ikeja. This is aimed at improving reading culture among Nigerians.

At the event, Mrs Omobolanle Adebayo, Managing Director, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo Foundation shared the importance of the partnership and more in an exclusive interview with Trek Africa Newspapers.

Trek Africa: Can we meet you?
Omobolanle Adebayo: My name is Mrs Omobolanle Adebayo, I am the Managing Director of Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo Foundation.

Managing Director, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo Foundation, Omobolanle Adebayo,

Trek Africa: Today is World Book Day, what do you have to say about this celebration taking here today?
Omobolanle Adebayo: It is a great initiative because now, I realise that children do not read so much anymore but if programmes like this come up, it will help to teach our children on the importance of reading. As readers are leaders, our children should be encouraged to read. We, at Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo Foundation are happy to be part of this move.

Trek Africa: How did you get involved with this programme?
Omobolanle Adebayo: We got information via media and when they sent us emails about the programme, we decided to partner them. This is because it is core to our own objective to impact human life.
Trek Africa Tell us more about your foundation?
Omobolanle Adebayo: Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo himself is the brain behind the foundation. The foundation is into activities that impact humanity, we help youths to discover their talents in sports through sporting competitions, we empower artisans just like we did recently and also support education.

Trek Africa: Can you tell us the reason why Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo decided to go into this noble humanitarian project?
Omobolanle Adebayo: Due to the background of the man Prince Kazeem having once been a bus conductor living in Ajegunle. Seeing people on the streets and remembering his past condition, he decided that instead of lavishing God’s blessing in his life he should rather have compassion on people hence the establishment of the foundation. You know for him growing up in Ajegunle when he didn’t even know his father is a rich man, he would not want people to suffer like he did.
