President Bola Tinubu paid a visit to his late mother’s house in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State, shortly after attending Friday congregational prayers. During the prayers, worshippers offered supplications for his health and leadership.
A video shared by presidential aide Olusegun Dada captured Tinubu’s arrival at the residence, where he was greeted by a large crowd of family members, friends, and well-wishers.
In a separate development, Doyin Okupe, former Special Adviser on Media to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, praised the priority given to defence in the 2025 budget. He emphasized that the allocation demonstrated President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing insecurity.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Okupe highlighted the ₦4.91 trillion allocated to defence and security, alongside ₦4.06 trillion for infrastructure, ₦2.48 trillion for health, and ₦3.52 trillion for education in the 2025 budget.
The oil production target of slightly over 2 million barrels per day, the forex benchmark of ₦1,500 to the dollar, and the projected crude oil price of $75 are all achievable figures given current global trends,” Okupe said.
He added that the significant allocation to defence reflects the administration’s determination to tackle insurgency and banditry decisively.
